What a pool is
A pool is the running list Partna keeps for one part of your site — everything that could show, until you decide what actually does.
Connect a platform and whatever it syncs — a video, a track, a product, an event — lands somewhere before it reaches your site. That somewhere is a pool: the full list for one part of your site, kept separate from what you have chosen to show.
What a pool is
Depending on your account, you have some or all of nine pools: Links, Watch, Listen, Menu, Services, Events, Media, Reviews and Sell. Each one holds everything Partna has found or added for that part of your site. Being in a pool is not the same as being on your site — a pool is the waiting list, your site is what visitors actually see.
Adding to a pool
Most pools fill themselves. Connect the platform behind a pool and its items start arriving on their own, with nothing to add by hand. Links is the exception: nothing syncs a link on its own, so you paste in whatever you want there yourself.
Curating: tick and untick
Every pool is a table you tick and untick. A ticked item shows on your site; an unticked one stays in the pool, out of sight, ready to come back the moment you tick it again. Hiding something from your site never removes it from the pool.
Newest stays on by default
When something new syncs in, it starts ticked on, so a fresh video or a new event shows up on your site without you having to go and switch it on. You are always free to untick it if you would rather it stayed out of view. You will meet this same tick-and-untick table during the Get Started walk, one pool at a time — after that, it lives in your dashboard for whenever you want to change your mind.
